Restoration and Conservation

When I was little, I wanted to be an artist because I drew well. Later, I became a house painter because I wanted to earn my own money.

Now, I make a living from restoring works of art because one day I decided that I should pursue what I was passionate about.

Projects

After just over 10 years dedicated to the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets (first promotion of the studies taught by the Junta de Castilla y León), I want to continue learning and I look for new projects (such as making a replica of the Shroud of Turin) and challenges that allow me to continue discovering the stories behind some works of art.

My professional activity begins at the Diocesan Workshop of Zamora; In addition, I have worked for numerous religious orders (Descalced Carmelites of Salamanca and Medina del Campo, Mercedarias of Toro and Poor Clares of Salamanca), parish churches of the Diocese of Salamanca, Ciudad Rodrigo, Segovia and Zamora; in addition to carrying out numerous works for Institutions such as theUniversity of Salamancaand other private collections. In 2013 I worked in the painting restoration workshop of the Prado Museum. In 2015 I received the USAL EMPRENDE award from the University of Salamanca with a project whose objective was to develop a printer that was capable of chromatically reintegrating the pictorial surface that a painting has lost. Currently, I develop my restoration activity through the company restNOVA Soluciones Artísticas.
